Asking for a friend - for sure 😁 I would like to know if there is a solution to set sharing links (documents, lists, whatever) to expire after a certain time. I know there is a setting configuration in the SharePoint Admincenter, but only in combination with anonymous links. If you configure the sharing policy to allow anonymous access, then you can set the link to expire after a certain ammount of time. But I need a solution without anonymous sharing links, I need it with specific people with a time period that I can specify when the link becomes invalid. Does anyone out there know a solution, feature, security setting, purview, license, 3rd party tool that can help with this requirement? Cheers and thank you all! #SharePoint #Microsoft365

A question from a customer today: how to summarize an .aspx page in SharePoint Online with Copilot? Currently two ways: 1) In M365 Copilot graph-grounded chat, prompt "Summarize this page" and copy-paste the page URL 2) In Edge browser, open the Copilot sidebar, select "Web" (MS Copilot) and prompt "Summarize this web page" Soon SharePoint Online integrated Copilot features will make it even easier!

One of the few "gripes" I have related to SharePoint Embedded (and there are very few), is the reliance on the Microsoft SharePoint Online PowerShell module & cmdlets for some operations. The SPO POSH isn't cross platform which means if you aren't on Windows, you're screwed. ... setting aside that if you have to use PowerShell, you're already screwed 🤣 ... but I digress. But that limitation is getting addressed! The cross platform and community-driven CLI for Microsoft 365 now has a command (in beta) for creating new Container Types! 🙌 More commands are coming... but an exciting milestone to celebrate today! #microsoft365dev #m365 #SharePoint #sharepointembedded

What is Supersedence? In Microsoft Intune, supersedence refers to the process of replacing an existing application with a newer version or a different application. When you configure supersedence for an application, you essentially define a relationship between the old version (or app) and the new one, so that Intune will automatically uninstall the older version and install the newer one. ➡️Some Key Components about Supersedence in Intune: 1. Replacement of Applications: You can supersede an older version of an app with a newer one. Intune will automatically handle the uninstallation of the older app and the installation of the new one. 2. Controlled Rollout: Supersedence helps in controlled rollouts of application updates. It ensures that devices running older versions are updated to the latest version without manual intervention. 3. Application Dependencies : You can configure an app to supersede another app only if it's deployed as a line-of-business (LOB) app or Win32 app. 4. Uninstall and Install: During supersedence, Intune will first uninstall the older app before installing the new one.
